Responsibilities. You will design and develop Eddy current non-destructive test solutions (NDT), including probes, mechanical instrucments and testing accessories. Create the opportunity to develop new projects, provide quotations for special products and explore the possible development of ultrasonic and remote visual inspection technologies. There is a requirement to adhere to specific project schedules, performance requirements while documenting all progress and significant developments or issues. A succesful candidate must have considerable interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of providing technical leadership to internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications. Batchelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field. Computer literate with knowledge of Solidworks or similar 3D design software. Key Competencies. Be confident in providing guidance in assigned projects in a multi-team environment. Experience of ET and UT probe design and fabricationtechniques and industrial NDT applications. Solid hands-on experience in one or more NDT modabilities (e.g ET,UT,RT,RVI. NDT field inspection experience would be highly desirable, particularly power generation, oil &gas or aerospace. It is beneficial to have sufficient skill in mechanical design, a broad understanding of mechanical principles and a six sigma certification.
