Our Client are seeking applications from a suitably qualified and experienced SolidWorks Design Engineer ideally with RADAN, due to continued expansion of their operations, The Job. Produce and update existing technical drawings and information using Solidworks and RADAN software. The Candidate will be responsible for taking a project from inception to sign off. Generate and update the parts manuals. Maintain effective communications with customers to clarify specifications and deal with any queries raised. Liaise with the production team to ensure manufacturing and modifications are as per specifications and deal with queries relating to same. Work with production to design improvements to machinery and tools. Retrieve drawings for further development on similar projects. Streamlining and development of more efficient processes. General administrative duties assigned to the role. Qualifications. Diploma in Mechanical Design Engineering or relevant engineering discipline. At least 2 years’ experience with proven Project Engineering. Capacity to be hands on and use initiative when appropriate. Familiar with Sheet Metal Design. Ability to be pro-active and take responsibility for tasks assigned. Be flexible and adaptable with a can-do attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
