Job Title: Maintenance Fitter. Location: Shannon, Co. Clare. Contract: Permanent- Full time. Shift: Days with occasional requirement to work shift. Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance, 27 days holidays. eFlexes staffing & recruitment are currently working with a large organisation based in Shannon, Co. Clare in recruitment of a permanent Maintenance fitter. This role will involve performing general maintenance and repairs based onsite. This diverse role will require a previous background in maintenance fitting in a manufacturing field. Duties: • Maintain the diverse equipment on site to a high standard in accordance with EH&S and cGMP regulations. • Provide Timely response to unplanned breakdowns of any service to the various functions on site. • Liaise with the Engineering Team and actively contribute in modification and redesign of equipment to maximise plant equipment life and efficiency. • Analyse, identify and assess specific reasons for machine breakdown/fault. • Maintain and record data, including part usage from Stores, input data into relevant maintenance systems as required and in compliance with current regulations and policies especially in the areas of Safety, Environmental and Quality. • Work with external maintenance contractors to facilitate the repair, maintenance and knowledge build up on equipment. • Maintain effective communication within the department and interdepartmentally with respect to work completion and shift handovers. • In conjunction with the Maintenance Team Lead review the department performance regularly with a view to ensuring targets are achieved, improvement plans implemented where necessary and corrective actions completed on time. • Make recommendations for systems, facility and equipment improvements as part of day to day duties. • Monitor plant operations as required and complete associated documentation. • Provide Support cover for Maintenance as required. • Maintain individual site training compliance. • Maintain your workplace and area of work in a clean and tidy condition during and after any work completion. • Ensure that all waste is disposed of as per our Licence requirements, correctly segregated and materials stored in a correct manner. • Ensure unsafe and potentially non-compliant environmental conditions are proactively identified and resolved. • Keep an energy and cost aware focus and to work to reduce energy usage and waste on site. • Complete any other duties that may be required from time to time. • Any other reasonable job related duties that may be required from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be a time served and qualified fitter. EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 5 years relevant experience. Preferably in a multinational, regulated pharmaceutical or chemical industry. • Practical hands-on experience of plant facilities and process equipment/technology. • GMP / IPPC licensed environment. • Pneumatics qualification /experience. • Hydraulics qualification/experience. • P&ID and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematic diagram understanding and experience.
